10 Nov to 15 Nov 2019 – Augusta to Busselton, and Perth

The ADSA Walk 2019 started from the Leeuwin Lighthouse, Augusta, on Monday 11 November 2019. You can follow the ADSA Walk Team’s progress under the New Posts section where we made daily posts of photos and stories about our adventures on the road. The ADSA Walk is an event for everyone and this year we had opportunity to invite members, friends, and supporters in the Augusta, Margaret River, Dunsborough, Busselton area to join the ADSA Walk Team for several fantastic walks:

WALLCLIFFE ROAD WALK Monday 11th November 1pm – Caves Road into Margaret River – Please meet the ADSA Walk Team at the corner of Caves Road and Wallcliffe Road at 1pm on Monday 11th November 2019 for the Wallcliffe Road Walk into Margaret River.

‘GOLDEN MILE’ WALK Wednesday 13th November 1pm – Dunsborough to Busselton. Please meet the ADSA Walk Team in Dunsborough at Lyons Park 1pm on Wednesday 13th November 2019 for the ‘Golden Mile’ Walk into Busselton.

ADSA Walk Around Town 2019 Busselton Thursday 14 November 2019 11am to 1pm. Registration at the small stage next to the new play area at Busselton Jetty from 10:30am. This is a 1km loop on Queen Street starting and finishing at the Busselton Jetty small stage near the new play area. Join us for this important fundraiser for mesothelioma medical research or please take the time to encourage our Walk Teams on the day. Information about asbestos will be available and our dedicated volunteers will be there to answer questions at Mitchell Park and the small stage area. Prizes for the most laps between 11am and 1pm and most feet on the ground for teams. We are also looking forward to having the South West Riders Social Club roaring into town to present the proceeds of their annual fundraiser the “Godi Poker Run”!

Be part of the walk up to Parliament House on Friday 15 November 2019 starting from the front of the Wellington Street Train Station in Perth at 9:45am or be there to welcome home the ADSA Walk Team at Solidarity Park behind Parliament House at 11am.

The 2019 Walk ‘joined the dots’ by doing the distance from Augusta to Dunsborough & Perth via Cape Leeuwin, Margaret River, Cowaramup, Wild Wood, Cape Naturaliste, Dunsborough, Busselton, and Perth. We are ‘joining the dots’ as the ADSA Walk Team walked from Dunsborough to Perth in 2013 and we took the opportunity in 2019 to build on that awesome effort.
