Asbestos Diseases Society of Australia Walk for Research and Awareness
Evan Jones
I have lived all my life in Perth, in the northern suburbs. I am now 56 year old and work as a bus driver for Trans - Perth and in my spare time I am a Surf lifesaver with Quinns surf club.
I married Keri Aiberti in 1986 and became part of her larger family that had lives and work in Wittenoom, so for many years my wife’s family has been involved with the Asbestos Diseases Society. I started to take a more active role with the Society in 2016 when my father in-law past away from Mesothelioma, I took part in the walk from Geraldton to Perth, then again in the 2017 walk from Merredin to Perth.
Wave Rock looking forward to seeing it again at the start of this years walk.
The main street of Hyden have some very interesting thing to see and a fun place to start this years walk from. Looking forward to a fun week of walking and making new friends and catching up with old friends.
